white and yellow petaled flowers during sunrise

Daffodils

Daffodils in golden glory,

Bending to the setting sun,

Summon me to stop.

And I sit on nearby gravel,

Looking deep into their funnels,

Leveling with them as one.

Their exposed fertility

Shames my hidden longing

For the release of private winters,

They already have achieved.
